Sacré-Cœur Turkish Fold Panorama

The Turkish fold is a book structure I often use in my work. By adapting this familiar technique, I found a way to bring new life to panoramic photographs in my digital collection.

Using Photoshop, I divided the selected panoramic image into six aligned but separate images. After printing and using the Turkish fold for each image, I assembled them into a continuous book that expands to reveal the full scene. I took the photograph with my iPhone’s panoramic feature outside the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre in Paris.
